Small island states in the Indian and Atlantic Ocean face difficulties in their water management. Due to overuse or abuse of current water supplies, climate change and lack of policies (and implementation thereof).
The IWRM project, by UNOPS, has as goal to strengthen the commitment and capacity of participating countries to implement an integrated approach to the management of freshwater resources, with a long-term goal of enhancement of the capacity of the countries to plan and manage their aquatic resources and ecosystems on a sustainable basis.
Beyond Borders Media travelled to all their project islands (São Tomé e Príncipe, Cabo Verde, Comoros, Mauritius, Maldives and Seychelles) to record case videos, a corporate film, a video teaser and photography. In English, French and Portuguese. We’ve also produced 360 degrees videos to help people to experience the location of their working locations.
Per island, Beyond Borders Media produced a case video. Here’s two of them.
Photography for UNOPS
During our production trip, we also provided UNOPS with project photography. This will be used both online and in reports for showing impact and results of projects.
During our travels, we used our drone to give more identity to all the islands. Our video drone helps our productions to put stories more into perspective and provides spectacular angles.
We’ve also developed a corporate film, to assist UNOPS in bringing across the story to policy makers, interviewing many countries’ Ministers and the water sectors.
